Todd Horton, Tidal Drawing 2

Welcome to Origin.

I am a Dental Hygienist, a Craniosacral Therapist, a Therapist of Chinese Energetic Medicine and Qigong instructor.

I have, in my own life, been a long time student and client to all of these modalities. I have healed deeply from some of them, and others have kept me honest in my personal hygiene. Chinese Medicine has always been my primary medicine.

I became a Dental Hygienist in 2019. Once I entered, I saw there was a lot of unearthed potential. TMJ disfunction and orofacial pain presented regularly, but was largely under-resourced. They are for the most part, complex, multifaceted issues that need diverse therapies. I suspected that many cases were influenced by nervous system dis-regulation.

I studied Myofunctional Therapy, training in proprioceptive re-programing and strengthening of the orofacial complex. Then, I became certified in Craniosacral Therapy through The Upledger Institute, where I learned to treat the orofacial complex by listening and responding to the nervous system.

Since nervous system health affects, literally every other part of our human body, Craniosacral Therapy casts a wide net of relief and resolve. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about its potential.

In 2020, I began studying Chinese Energetic Medicine. A Taoist medicine created from the understanding that all things are energy and that frequency can change when you apply the laws of nature. Just as a river, when the body’s energy is harmonious, it flows freely.

The world of healing is vast, creative, unpredictable, wild, humbling and powerful. My deepest gratitude to the wisdom of ancient and indigenous practices that have understood healing as our birthright, our responsibility and rooted in the connectedness of all life. My deepest gratitude to the modern science contributing to the conversation through quantum healing and quantum biology.

I consider all of these practices to flow together. If I drew you a Venn diagram, Craniosacral Therapy would be central to all of them.

Through you, my practice will continue to evolve.

Love and Gratitude,

Liliana
